BLOK (founded in 2001) is a curatorial collective working on the democratization of culture and art and the articulation of  resistance to the processes of cultural privatization that have fundamentally reshaped the field through the restoration of capitalism. We are engaged in the production and research of socially engaged artistic practices, publishing, political and artistic education, and organizing cultural workers in the fight for better working conditions. Since 2016, we have been running the BAZA art and  activism space, located in Trešnjevka, the largest neighborhood in Zagreb. In 2018, we launched the long-term project  TREŠNJEVKA NEIGHBORHOOD MUSEUM, which represents a framework for work in  the local community, through the  construction of a virtual fund, artistic production, and various cultural, artistic, and socially engaged programs. Our  activities are permeated by cooperation  with cultural and educational institutions,  as well as artistic and activist initiatives at  the local and international levels
